Manuka
South

Proudly New Zealand owned and operated, Manuka South works with beekeepers around the country to produce the highest UMF rated mānuka honey possible, putting itself amongst the world's most exceptional honey brands.
BRIEF
SOLUTION
Manuka South is one of the world's exceptional premium honey brands. In the intensely competitive luxury honey space Manuka South differentiates itself by presenting a compelling story, based on taking increasingly rare grades of honey to market. The hero product needed to exemplify the brand values, and had to have real presence to cut through visual noise in a visually over-crowded retail environment.
The presentation needed to be aspirational, adding value to the brand and reinforcing the desirability of the product.
For the Limited Reserve case we selected American white oak with all detailing and accents in gold plate. The oak grain is highlighted with a custom stain, finished with a clear lacquer.
Fitted inside the lid is provenance/authenticity certificate, with engraved gold serial number plate fitted both inside and out, to reinforce the limited nature of the product. The honey jar is held in a fully lined cavity, secured with a security brace. The jar label is gold plated, with the lid fabricated to match the oak case.
The lining is embossed recycled leather featuring the Manuka South logo.
A glass tube holds the custom made honey dibber, visible through a window in the case.

BRIEF
Stained American oak was selected for the case, with all detailing and accents in rose gold plate. The walnut case is finished with multiple coats of clear lacquer. The front and back panels are chemically milled to give the illusion of the honey product suspended within a honeycomb matrix; the front panel pivots open to allow access. The honey jar sits on an oak shelf, with a clear acrylic neck brace providing support. The lower compartment features a bespoke rose gold honey spoon with a walnut button, and an authenticity / provenance certificate signed by the CEO and Founder of the company.

The honey jar label is rose gold plate with its lid fabricated to match the walnut case. Rose gold badgework is inlaid to the jar lid, and also screwed onto the exterior case sides. Matching serial numbers tie the honey jar, display case and exterior cardboard packaging together.

The finished product is enclosed in a triple wall cardboard outer; this is wrapped in a matt black sleeve featuring high-build clear print, wax seal, black ribbon, and a tamper proof serial numbered tag.
